Top Ten Tuesday ~ Top Ten Best Sequels Ever

"Top Ten Tuesday" is an original feature/weekly meme created on the blog "The Broke and the Bookish". This feature was created because they are particularly fond of lists at "The Broke and the Bookish". Since I am just as fond of them as they are, I jump at the chance to share my lists with them! Have a look at their page, there are lots of other bloggers who share their lists here.

  1. Someone else put Jo's Boys as well. I enjoyed Little Women, but I've never read the sequels. I will have to check my library for those.

  2. Totally agree on the sequels to Little Women. I also liked A Rose in Bloom, sequel to Eight Cousins, also by Louisa May Alcott. I'll have to read the sequels to These is My Words..didn't even know they existed! Thanks for including them on your list! - http://miathereader.com

  4. I'm glad there are some of you who enjoyed the list. I checked some of the others and found they all read completely different books from mine.

Jennifer, if you are American, you probably have read "Little Wives" because they seem to be in one book in the States. I remember watching Friends where Joey reads "Little Women" and Rachel tells him a spoiler which - according to my books - is in the sequel. Anyway, a friend told me, there are only two books in the States but with the whole text, of course.

Alana, I didn't know there was a sequence to "Eight Cousins", so I will check for it. Thank you.

Tiffany, I agree, it was not the same but I liked it nonetheless. I have loved all of Carlos Ruiz Zafón's books, I think he is a fantastic writer.

Thank you everyone for your comments. I love talking about "my" books. Would love to hear from you again.

  5. Sorry, Alana, I forgot to mention the sequels to "These is my words", a member of our book club made me aware of it. I loved that story so much, it's like "Little House" for grown-ups.
