This is so true. I once read a book about women who grew up without any schooling (Ramlin Rose) and one of the most interesting parts of the story was how they coped with not being able to read and how their concept of time was so different from ours. We'll never know how much books actually do teach us.

Actually there are regrettably some lesser rate readers who account for some lesser rate books that get published. But at least they read!
ReplyDeleteThat's what I meant to say with that. Those that are reading, even if they are easier and don't have the content we would wish them to have, the fan of those books at least read. And reading improves your language.
