Nice topic!! My husband was born in Manila, Philippines and moved to the USA with his parents when he was 7 years old. I've slowly been reading books by Filipino authors...Smaller and Smaller Circles by F. H. Batacan, Monsoon Mansion by Cinelle Barnes, The Sacrifice by Rin Chupeco, and Dream Jungle by Jessica Hagedorn, are a few books I've read by Filipino writers.
ReplyDeleteOh, nice. Thanks, Lisa. I am always looking for books from not authors that are not so well known in our Western world, they are often so interesting. I will have to look up some of those you mentioned.
DeleteSmaller and Smaller Circles by F. H. Batacan is the winner of the Philippine National Book Award.
DeleteThanks for that, Lisa.
