You always find the most interesting challenges!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Sarah, I've been participating here for a couple of years now and since it's only twice a year and it makes me look for interesting books, I really enjoy it. You could even do it with non-fiction books. ;)
DeleteThe Mousetrap is a wonderful play!
ReplyDeleteI'm really looking forward to it, Stephen. And should I go to London again, I will try to get tickets.
DeleteThanks for sharing the club! Some great ideas there and I found the more I dug, the more I discovered interesting titles. Looking forward to seeing what everyone reads!
ReplyDeleteThat's the beauty of this kind of challenge, Karen, and that's why I always enjoy participating. Thanks for organizing it.
DeleteEast of Eden is amazing!
ReplyDeleteIt definitely is, Lisa. Such a great story. And so well written.
DeleteWhat a great year for marvelous books! Charlotte's Web is one of my favorites, and I did reread it a few years ago before visiting the area where White was living when he wrote the book.
ReplyDeleteEast of Eden is also an all-time favorite that I've reread twice--again mostly recently when I was visiting Salinas, where it takes place.
I'm actually not sure if I've read The Mousetrap--if I did it was a long, long time ago! Hope you enjoy it.
I'm glad you like the year, Jane. I read Charlotte's Web with my sons when they were little and that is always a great reminder.
DeleteEast of Eden is also one of my favourites.
And the Mousetrap, they've shown it in London for decades and I have never seen it. I'm not a huge fan of reading plays but sometimes that's what we do, right?
I'm going to London next week and I think we're going to see The Mousetrap! My mother saw it when she was 16 so I hope she has forgotten who-done-it.
ReplyDeleteI think we talked about that (maybe on your page?). Let me know how you liked it!!!! And enjoy your trip to London, such a great city.
