Top Ten Tuesday ~ Top Ten Titles That Would Make Good Band Names

"Top Ten Tuesday" is an original feature/weekly meme created on the blog "The Broke and the Bookish". This feature was created because they are particularly fond of lists at "The Broke and the Bookish".

It is now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

Since I am just as fond of them as they are, I jump at the chance to share my lists with them! Have a look at their page, there are lots of other bloggers who share their lists here.

Titles That Would Make Good Band Names
As so often with these lists, I could have found hundreds of interesting book titles that would make good band names, here are just a few:

That's when I gave up and chose the eleven for my list.

Byatt, A.S. "Possession"
Chabon, Michael "Summerland"
Faulkner, William "Light in August"
Hosseini, Khaled "The Kite Runner"
Kertész, Imre "Fateless" or "Fatelessness" (Hungarian: Sorstalanság - would also be an interesting band name)
Pamuk, Orhan "Snow" (Turkish: Kar - dito ^^)
Rhue, Morton "The Wave"
Sendker, Jan-Philipp "Whispering Shadows" (German: Das Flüstern der Schatten)
Smith, Zadie "White Teeth"
Soueif, Ahdaf "Aisha"
Ulitzkaya, Lyudmila "Imago" or "The Big Green Tent" (Russian: Zelenyi shater/Зеленый шатер)

    1. True, great idea re. the music. I also quite liked the movie, maybe the kind Jack Whyte plays around the bonfire.

Thanks for your visit. I'll head over to your page.

  6. Ooh, fun list. I'm going around this week collecting options to add to my hypothetical show horse name list instead, and from yours I'm adding Whispering Shadows and Imago. Also Americanah, which I cannot believe is not already a racehorse's name, unless that's because it would be construed as a political statement (solution: add a double N?).

  8. I never realized until today how many book titles would also make great band names. This was such a fun prompt - unfortunately, I couldn't think of any awesome band names, so I did a different topic.

    Happy TTT!
