#ThrowbackThursday. If on a Winter's Night a Traveller

Calvino, Italo "If on a Winter's Night a Traveller" (Italian: Se una notte d'inverno un viaggiatore) - 1979

One of the most weird - but also most interesting - books I ever read, a reader is trying to read a book called "If on a Winter's Night a Traveller". The book is partly about the reader's life and partly about the books he is trying to read.

One of my favourite books ever.

Read my original review here.

  1. Oh neat, my favorite by Calvino.
By the way, yes, right now all your comments go to my spam. I need to start checking everyday, otherwise, when I click approve, then I have to scroll down too long to find t in my list of approved comments to be able to add any comment to it, and right now, I honestly don't have time. But if I actually start by checking the spam section before the other comments, it will be easier to track yours and really answer to it.

    1. Sorry to hear that, Emma. I think Blogger wants everyone from WP to join them and vice versa, there seem to be nothing but problems at the moment. Oh, but it's easier with Blogger. I get a notification before I can go to comments, then I approve and have the comment directly at the top because they sort them by date of comment, not by date of post. Still, such a nuisance. :(

    2. I'm reading a weird/interesting book ATM - 'Frankenstein in Baghdad' by Ahmed Saadawi. It's a satire/metaphor about the American occupation of Baghdad after Gulf War II based around the original Frankenstein idea. *Strange* but really good!

    3. That does sound very interesting, Kitten. I'll have to explore. Thanks.

  4. I found this book very peculiar and was lost after having read it. Maybe I have to read it one more time, and just take a chapter at a time.
