I love churches. Eleanor and I found some really cool ones last summer when we were wandering around the countryside. The abandoned ones make me so sad, when I think about them serving farming communities for so long, all the baptisms and weddings and funerals they saw, and now left to the elements.

DeleteThere are not that many R.C. churches in Oldenburg, so if it was downtown, that might have been it.
