There are so many interesting festivals and events around books that I would love to go to. But I have restricted myself to some that I might, just might, be able to visit one day (in alphabetical order by place).

One of my blog friends chose the Nobel Prize award in Stockholm. Should have thought of that one.

I've been to Wales a couple of times and it's fantastic, unfortunately never at the time of the festival. One day ... one day.

Ooooh, my top wish. It's on every year in Bath in September (except for this year, of course). People dress up in costumes like in the Jane Austen films, they show short theatre pieces, they have all sorts of events around Jane Austen and her time. Sounds wonderful. Check out the link to the website I posted above, just looking at the pictures makes for a wonderful time.

Except for three of them (Trinity College Library, Dublin Rijksmuseum Library, Amsterdam, and the Boekhandel Dominicanen, Maastricht), I haven't been to any of them, either. But I hope to be able to visit some of them in future, at least.

Jane Austen Festival - I´d love to be there! perhaps there is something similar for Thomas Hardy in Dorchester?. I´ve walked in his footsteps in Dorset and been to Bockhampton. I love his novels. see yoy in Frankfurter Buchmesse and Hay - on - Wye!

I attended the Los Angeles Times Book Festival many times. It is a wonderful experience being surrounded by books, authors and book lovers.

What a fun list! I love that you included libraries -- there are so many great ones. This is a total fantasy for me but I want to visit the new Library of Alexandria in Egypt.

Yes, the Alexandria library seems like a great place to want to visit. But, just as you, I have only included those places where I have a remote chance to see them one day.
