#ThrowbackThursday. The Ingenious Mr Fairchild

Leapman, Michael "The Ingenious Mr Fairchild: The Forgotten Father of the Flower Garden" - 2001

A very fascinating book, even if you're not into gardening at all (like me). The story of a gardener who first experimented in breeding different plants alongside the history but also our contemporary concerns with genetic manipulation.

Read more on my original post here.

  1. Another one I've never heard of! You'd think I never read any books at all. ;D

    1. There are millions of books, Lark. None of us can have read all the books in the world and I believe this one is not such a well-known one. I think, even if one reads completely different books, it's always nicer to talk to an avid reader than to anyone who doesn't read books at all. It doesn't matter what you read as long as you read.
