So that goes well with our TTT this week, Lark. ;) It is a great book, even though I don't consider it the best book by the author or the best book about Afghanistan but it is really, really well written.
True, Anon (I guess you didn't intend to comment anonymously, the blogsites should get their act together!) But we need to read this book so, hopefully, one day things like this won't happen again.
I loved this book so much. I thought about it for days after I finished reading it. And then I went out and bought a copy. :)

Emotional and impactful.
ReplyDeleteThat's a good description, Lectrice. Thanks.
DeleteI enjoyed it a lot, a long time ago
ReplyDeleteBut I'm sure it still stays with you, Emma.
DeleteA great and very sad book.

I'm in the minority, in that I did not like this one at all, but I am glad so many of you found it a worthy read.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear that, Sarah. But we all get those books that everyone seems to love and we go: What?? How can you love such a book.
