Top Ten Tuesday ~ Top Ten Books On My Spring 2021 TBR

"Top Ten Tuesday" is an original feature/weekly meme created on the blog "The Broke and the Bookish". This feature was created because they are particularly fond of lists at "The Broke and the Bookish".

It is now hosted by Jana from That Artsy Reader Girl.

Since I am just as fond of them as they are, I jump at the chance to share my lists with them! Have a look at their page, there are lots of other bloggers who share their lists here.

This week's topic is: Books On My Spring 2021 TBR

Mmmh, this is more or less what I wrote last week (see here). My biggest plan is to get rid of some of the books on my TBR pile. Mind you, I have some new books (and some on my wishlist I intend to buy soon) that are not TBR and I hope to be reading them soon, as well.

Adiga, Aravind "The White Tiger" - 2008
Brooks, Geraldine "Foreign Correspondence: A Pen Pal's Journey from Down Under to All Over" - 1997 (Goodreads)
Jansson, Tove "Moominsummer Madness" (Vaarallinen juhannus) (Finnish) - 1954
Khorsandi, Shappi "Nina is Not OK" - 2016 (Goodreads)
Lee, Min Jin "Pachinko" - 2017
McCullough, Colleen "The Ladies of Missalonghi" - 1987
Obama, Barack "Of Thee I Sing. A Letter to my Daughters" - 2010

    1. I am sure I will. I loved all his other books and despite what some of my friends might say, I still believe he was one of the best US presidents there ever was, both for the US and the rest of the world.

Looking foward to reading your review once you are done.

    1. So do I, Astilbe. It's the kind of novel I like to read where I learn more about history. I guess you have read and liked it?

Thanks for visiting and leaving your link. Will see you there.

    1. That is good to know. I have only heard good things about them and therefore are looking forward to it. They are pretty new purchases, as well.

Thanks for your visit, always lovely to hear from you.

  4. I would like to listen to Obama's book. I'm a little scared by how long it is! I hope you get to read and love it.

    1. Well, I love big books and am looking forward to it therefore. However, we all have different likes and dislikes. I can't concentrate on audiobooks but I could imagine it would be wonderful to listen to his book read by himself. He has a great reading voice.

In any case, no matter how we read it, as long as we support him and his actions.

Thanks for visiting, always a pleasure.

    1. It was on my wishlist but I got Kamala's book instead which was also great. So, I now bought a used copy. I hardly ever buy hardbacks, the last one was by his wife and it was a fantastic book. All his other books are great, too.

Maybe we'll read it at the same time? Looking forward to your review.

Thanks for visiting and leaving your link, see you on your page.

    1. I'm sure I will. It would be the first Obama book I dislike.

      You enjoy it, as well.

Thanks for your visit and your link, see you there.

    1. So many people did, mainly those who enjoy the same kind of books I do, so I'm sure I will. It was one of the newer books I bought despite having a huge TBR pile and the resolution not to buy too many new books. This was a must have.

Thanks for your visit, always nice to talk to you.

  9. My husband is slowly making his way through PROMISED LAND and enjoying it. He keeps sharing interesting tidbits with me. I need to read it if he ever finishes :)

    Happy TTT!

    1. Haha, yes, that is the problem if you like the same kind of books. I am usually the one to read it first since I read a lot faster than my husband (though not as fast as my eldest son who used to read any new Harry Potter within one night so then his younger brother could have it, LOL).

So looking forward to this one.

Thanks for visiting, alwys a pleasure.

  10. A Promised Land is so good. I was practically in tears reading it, because I was hearing his voice in my head as I was reading and it made me miss him so much.

    1. That's exactly how I felt when reading his other books (though he was still in office then). I am sure this is just as great.

    2. So do I. If two people think the same, they can make a wish.

  11. I walked into spring with such high hopes of knocking a few books off of my TBR pile and all I've managed to do is add more. I Am the Messenger is already on there, but I might have to add Nina is Not Okay, too ... Happy reading!

    1. Thanks, Christopher. You, too.

I know the feeling, I have such a huge TBR list and they are all waiting in line to get read first but then we have such great TTTs where everyone suggests books that I really want to read, as well ...

So many books, so little time. Happy reading to you, as well.
