I really fell for the writing of Min Jin Lee and Amor Towles last year. I hope they now are busily writing their next books.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree, Deb. I know Amor Towles has written more than just this one and they are all on my wishlist. And I just checked, there are also several from Min Jin Lee. So, we can look forward to reading more books by them, even if they never write another one (which would be a shame, of course).
DeleteGreat list, Marianne! I really enjoyed Pachinko and have another of Lee's books on my TBR that I'm hoping will be just as enjoyable! Also, I'm looking forward to hopefully finally reading Amor Towles this year :)

ReplyDeleteThanks, Deanna. It was so interesting. I've read a few books by Ernest Hemingway before but this one made me realiye that there are many more that I still want to read. And if Paula McLain's other books are only half as good as this one, they are all worth reading.

DeleteI haven't read any of these authors, but I have been meaning to give both Towles and McLain a try. I've also heard great things about Min Jin Lee. If you're a fan of these writers, I definitely need to give them a go :)

ReplyDeleteYou're welcome, Cindy. I have seen so many lists the last couple of days with authors I had never even heard of, I'm not surprised not many have read those that I read especially since three of them are by German/Austrian authors that are hardly known across the border.
