"Top Ten Tuesday" is an original feature/weekly meme created on the blog "The Broke and the Bookish". This feature was created because they are particularly fond of lists at "The Broke and the Bookish".
It is now hosted by Jana from That Artsy Reader Girl.
Since I am just as fond of them as they are, I jump at the chance to share my lists with them! Have a look at their page, there are lots of other bloggers who share their lists here.
This week's topic is: Colourful Book Covers
We had "Book Titles That Sound Like They Could Be Crayola Crayon Colours" and we carry on with colours this week.
What is colourful? It can be a cover with many different colours. Or one with two contrasting colours that immediately catch your eye. Or one with just one colour but that one very vibrant. Even though I don't often read books with colourful covers, I think (hope) I found examples for all of them.

All of these covers are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Lydia. I had to search a little since most of my covers are more dreary but I think I found the most colourful ones in the end. Thank you for visiting.
DeleteLove the muted colors in Americannah.
ReplyDeleteHere is our Top Ten Tuesday. Thank you!
So do I, Aymee. There are colours but not in your face.
DeleteThank you for your visit and your link. I'll see you on your page.
These all look pretty but I especially love the cover for The Lacuna!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Lindsey, that is also a wonderful book. Frida Kahlo appears, I guess the cover is a tribute to her.
DeleteAs always, thanks for your visit.
Same. Most of the books I read have dark, broody colors. I couldn't think of colorful ones today, so I did historical novels with covers like the one for THE RED-HAIRED WOMAN. It's amazing how many of them feature women facing away from the camera wearing red.
ReplyDeleteHappy TTT!
That sounds like a great idea, Susan. You always have such great twists on the topics. I'll have a look anyway but this makes me really curious.
DeleteThanks for coming by.
P.S. Next week I'll do a twist on the topic.
These are nice. I especially like Hunting gathering and the Red Haired Woman but Loose Lips might be my favorite! Just such a colorful cover!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Greg. It's always nice to know what others like. Yes, Loose Lips is very colourful. The book is part of a trilogy and that was the cover with the brightest colours.
DeleteI think this challenge wasn't all that easy for either of us but I quite like what you did on your page.
Thanks for stepping by.
I really need to read Americanah, its been on my TBR list for years! Great post.

Thanks, Charlotte. I hope you will like Americanah just as much as I did. You may want to read my review once you have (link in the post).
DeleteThank you vor your visit and for leaving your link. I'll see you on your page.
Wow! These covers are beautiful! Great list!
ReplyDeleteHere’s my TTT!

Thanks, Ronyell, I've seen some much mor colourful on other pages but I think I managed to find some good ones.
DeleteThanks for visiting and for your link. I'll come by and see what you came up with.
I really want to read Pachinko!
ReplyDeleteThat's the last book I read and I absolutely loved it. Enjoy.
DeleteThank you for visiting my page. I also loved yours.
Cute! Sijie's book was so good, the movie made on it not bad either
ReplyDeleteOh, I never saw the movie, I'm always very, very reluctant to watch a movie when I loved the book. If you tell me it's good, I might have to look for it. Thanks, Emma.
DeleteThe Red-Haired Woman is striking. Lovely covers.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Sarah. It is also a great novel by my favourite Turkish author (and one of my favourite overall).
DeleteIt was so much fun going through old covers and chosing the most colourful ones.
These are some absolutely gorgeous selections this week. I really love the cover for Ramlin Rose.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Christopher. It is a great book, as well. I even talked to the author when I lived in the UK, her stories about how she met some of those women who lived on the narrowboats their whole lifes where both breathtaking and devastating, yet also wonderful.
DeleteThanks for visting.
